Music CampFive fun days of making rock and pop music at Maverick School, at Gowan’s Grove and on the Lyric Stage. Students will meet at the Lyric Theatre at 9:00 am and travel to and from Gowan’s Grove will be provided.

Students will learn from wonderful musicians the skills they need to better develop their techniques, group dynamics, and stage presence, prepping them for joining a rock band.

Students will have the opportunity to use cool gear, play on a stage at the Lyric Theatre, and play the music they love!

The week will also include fun activities such as swimming in the creek at Gowan’s Grove.

Doors: 7:30pm Music: 8:30pm

The evening will include presentations from the students of Swift Current Music Camp with help from members of local band Bears in Hazenmore, as well as a headlining performance from Saskatchewan songwriter Kara Golemba.

Kara Golemba’s guitar wrapped poetry is a blend of folk, roots and country. Her honeyed voice can be sweet and charming or powerfully raised to rattle the teacups. Every Little Light, Golemba’s debut EP has continued to establish her reputation as an insightful songwriter.


Musicians (age 13 to 17) with some proficiency
